Each time I nod my head to the lyrics of the late great Nipsey Hussle, I never take the song at face value. I immediately translate it to my own interpretation. Almost forgot what I was doin’ always triggers my own personal reflections of my life’s journey.

Have you ever walked into a room and then stood there like a deer in headlights as you try to remember, “exactly why am I here in the first place?” On occasion, that’s exactly how I feel when I purposely stop to evaluate my day-to-day operations as an entrepreneur. It’s almost as if I’m having an out-of-body experience, where I can look at myself and critically ask, what are you doing?

As I reflect on the year that has gone by, I can’t help but sit in awe that I have not only survived 18 months of entrepreneurship but also witnessed the holistic growth of myself and my business.
